Season Update

The Zone will be conducting two (2) Officials courses during the 2009-2010 season.  The first will be hosted by the Shoalhaven Centre On Saturday 18th October commencing at 9.30am.  The second will be hosted by the Kiama Centre On Sunday 19th October also commencing at 9.30am.  Tentative topics to be covered are Shot, Discus, Javelin, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Timekeeping and Placejudging. 

The traditional Mid South Coast Coaching Camp held at  Berry Sport And Recreation Centre will be replaced by a two (2) day Super Coaching Clinic this season.  The venue will be Kiama Leisure Centre Playing Fields.  Full details will be published in the near future.

The Region 5 Championships will be held at Beaton Park, Wollongong, on the 21st and 22nd February 2009.  At this stage it is not clear if it will be necessary to run any events on Friday 20th February due to the addition of the Under 17 Age Group.  The Mid South Coast Zone will be responsible for Shot over the weekend and will also need to provide two (2) Timekeepers, two (2) Place Judges, one (1) Track Umpire and one (1) Walk Judge.
