Zone Championships

The 2008-2009 Mid South Coast Zone Championships, hosted by the Albion Park Centre, were conducted over the weekend of the 13th and 14th of December 2008.  There were fears that constant rain during the twenty four (24) hours prior to the Carnival would adversely affect the track but, thankfully, this was not the case.  Unfortunately we did have to contend with strong Westerly winds all weekend which made things difficult at times.

Approximately three hundred and fifty (350) athletes competed at the Championships with Kiama winning the March Past and Albion Park taking out the “Dean Blair Trophy” for the second successive year.  More than twenty (20) Zone records were broken over the course of the weekend.

Sincere thanks go to all the Officials, Centre Committee members and parents who assisted at the Carnival.
